Responsibilities of the Vice Dean for Graduate Studies, Development and Quality:
- Secretary of the college board:
- Suggesting the dates of the board sessions.
- Receiving the notes to be presented to the board from the dean of the college and providing the board members with a copy.
- Preparing the meeting agenda.
- Editing the minutes of the sessions and submitting them to the dean of the college for approval.
- Supervising the publication of summaries of the college board sessions at the end of each session and publishing them on the college website.
- Supervising letters prepared according to the board's decisions and follow them up to their reaching to the concerned authorities.
- Managing the archiving of notes, minutes, and decisions of the college board.
- Preparing a letter of financial dues to the members of the Board.
- Development and Quality Unit:
- Supervising the units of the vice deanship for development and quality: Scientific research, academic accreditation, planning and development, statistics and reports, community service, scholarships.
- Disseminating the culture of quality at the college level.
- Addressing the relevant authorities within the college regarding the agency's work and scope.
- Work to raise the efficiency of the quality system in the college.
- Follow up on the fulfillment of the college's academic accreditation requirements.
- Suggesting the formation of committees related to the agency's work.
- Preparing for the advisory committee councils and supervising the memoranda presented to them.
- Supervising the meeting of the advisory committee.
- Preparing performance follow-up reports and submitting them to the Dean of the College.
The overall objective of the Council:
Comprehensive participation by all departments and units of the College in the planning, implementation and follow-up of development and quality processes.
Functions of the Quality Board:
1. Verify the application of quality assurance standards in the educational, administrative and organizational fields in all units of the College.
2. Monitoring and transferring distinctive experiences in quality assurance and accreditation to the academic departments and programmes of the College.
3. Follow up the periodic measurement of the satisfaction of the parties concerned with the performance and activities of the College and take corrective action.
4. Identification of performance indicators adopted by the College/Academic Programmes as well as reference comparisons and their submission to the relevant Study and Accreditation Committee.
5. Coordination with the development and quality pillar of quality assurance and international and national academic accreditation. 6. Review of the periodic reports of the College/Programmes and submission to the College Board of Accreditation.
