16 Days campaign to Stop Violence against Women
Violence against women is a global phenomenon affecting all societies, and violence against women in the region has increased in recent years in the light of the contexts of security instability and conflict in a number of States. The new Virus Corona pandemic then strengthened violence against women in the domestic stone, Because awareness of the problem is the first step towards prevention, conscious governments make outstanding efforts to sensitize communities to the problem and adopt laws to protect and reduce this phenomenon.
One such effort is the awareness-raising programmes of the Ministry of Education, where the Faculty of Education in Delam in community partnership with the first intermediate school, implemented the campaign to Stop violence against women, Under the supervision of the Student Work Unit and Mrs Seham Al-Anzi and with the participation of the students from the Department of Home Economics on Monday morning 9-5 -1443 AH.
The campaign included an awareness presentation within the chapters on what is meant by violence, its forms, methods of prevention, and the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to reduce it. The campaign also ran an educational corner that contained brochures and gifts that were well received by the attendees.
