Definition of the department:
The department was established in 1418 AH with the establishment of the College of Education for the preparation of female teachers in Delam, as it was affiliated with the Girls Agency in the Ministry of Education.
The department included the Arabic language and social sciences majors, and the student studies four years, and then is awarded, upon completion of her studies, a bachelor's degree in one of the two majors, according to the old plan.
the department aims to prepare the student in an integrated cognitive, professional and practical way so that she can work in primary schools and at various secondary levels in education and administration, and she can also work in the field of journalism and media.
Beginning in the year 1430 AH, the new plan was implemented, in which the plan of the Colleges of Education in Al-Kharj was approved. It is a plan that aims to prepare the student in an integrated scientific and cognitive preparation in order to enable the student in her field of specialization and to qualify her to continue her higher studies later, in which the Arabic language specialization was abbreviated only in the department, so the name (Arabic Language Department).
In this year 1431 - 1432 AH, the department received a new plan to make the first year of the university in all disciplines a preparatory year, and accordingly this plan was approved with its decisions according to the levels system in addition to the current plan.
